Hello!

I'm Nikki, the mom behind Cow Tails and Hay Bales.  You can find me frantically skipping through life raising kids, baking cupcakes, and cleaning toilets....not necessarily in that order.

 I make it a point to always have a smile on my face.  Confuses the hell out of most people.  I bake a little, blog a little, and laugh a lot.  Welcome!

How I look most days

Random facts:

*   I'm married and a stay at home mama to two cutie pies.  

*  We live on a mini farm in the beautiful South.

*  I love hair dye, Hobby Lobby, flip flops, and questionable TV.
*  Sometimes I let my kids watch questionable TV.

*  I've fed my kids chocolate chip cookies for breakfast.
*  Sometimes I let my kids eat cookies for breakfast and watch questionable TV at the same time.

*  I ugly cry every time I watch The Thorn Birds.

*  I'm 38 and my husband is 11 years older than me.

*  We met in 1995 and didn't marry till 2003.

*  He hasn't heard a word I've said since 2002.

*  I pee four or more times a night because I've had a bladder disorder, IC, since 2005.

*  I haven't slept since 2005.

*  I'm an ex Army brat.

*  I'm a current brat.

*  I have an extremely high tolerance for crazy.

*  I am crazy.

*  Also medicated
*  When I screw up I offer my kids large amounts of ice cream and money.
*  I screw up.
*  A lot.
*  I have 6 rescue cats.
*  My husband hates cats.

*  Italian and Mexican food are like crack to me.
*  God has blessed me way more than I will ever deserve.
*  I have the best. family. ever.

*  We're all snarky and laugh at inappropriate situations.

*  We're also college football freaks. 

*  But mostly just freaks


Stay, laugh, make fun of us, feel like a superior parent.  You probably are.   I'm just trying to keep them alive.
